Can you think of a better way to end the week than to come to school in your pajamas? There was such excitement as they participated in their studies in their pj’s! We even had a state float parade to kick off the day.

Literacy Changes our World” week
Teachers and staff shared folktales from their culture and read to students as part of our “Literacy Changes our World” week. Thank you to all the good sports for this fun event. Last month our students had the opportunity to share with their classmates a little about their culture with their country reports. Part of our Montessori philosophy is to respect all cultures and celebrate diversity.
National School Choice Week
Part of our National School Choice week entails open house and tours. We will also have applications for the 2017 school year available. Please call the office (321) 729-0786 to be added to our daily tours. Open House 9-11 Wed, Jan 25th – Friday, Jan 27th with tours at 10:00 on those days.
Spirit Day in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King
Today we celebrated Spirit Day in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King. Grades 5 and 6 students proudly wore their scarfs to help kick off National School Choice week beginning Monday

Clean Up Time!
Twice a year we give families an opportunity to help us spruce up the school. Join us on Saturday, January 21st between the hours of 8 and 11 am to share your talents. This is a great way to get your volunteer hours for the year. You can help us weed gardens, clean windows, trim trees, plant or spread mulch. If you are not able to attend and would like to donate plants or bags of mulch, we would appreciate the donation.
EHCS Students Visit the Kennedy Space Center
During Brevard County Space Week, our grade 6 students had the opportunity to visit NASA and the Kennedy Space Center to learn about space, technology, engineering, and our history.One of the favorite activities was the engineering challenge. They had to construct a “bridge” style truss to support up to twelve pounds. They were successful in their attempt and very proud of the teamwork. Two of the students from our school were selected to display their art work entitled “Past, Present, and Future” at the center.
We are very proud of all of our sixth grade students.
