    Fortify FL

Fortify FL is a suspicious activity reporting tool that allows you to instantly relay information to appropriate law enforcement agencies and school officials.

Promoted by Florida’s Attorney General, Florida Department of Education, and Florida Department of Law Enforcement, this app was created by Florida Legislature as part of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act. The app lets students quickly submit and report safety tips and threats, share photos and videos.

Educational Horizons Charter School will re-open on August 24th for the 20-21 school year. With approval from the FL DOE, we will offer two options for the Fall semester with the possibility of revisiting options for the Winter semester. Both options will be on the same pace with digital and paper activities. More information will be shared as plans are developed and teaching staff returns.

OPTION #1 will be a traditional face to face learning in the school building. Certified teachers will instruct students Monday through Friday on our regular daily schedule. CDC safety precautions will be in effect. All students are expected to wear a mask when social distancing cannot be maintained.

OPTION #2 will be remote learning using technology at the student’s home learning environment. Certified teachers will instruct Monday through Friday on our regular daily schedule. Students will have online face to face opportunities and independent work time activities. Families must be very organized and have reliable technology to adhere to schedules. There will be times that families and students will need to pick up supplies and come to the campus for ongoing progress monitoring.

  • Campus Clean Up

Campus Clean up was a great success today. Thank you to the parents, students, grandparents, teachers, and staff who gave of their time to spread a mountain of mulch! They also helped up clean gardens, trim trees, and neaten up the area. Most importantly, they modeled to their children how to take care of their school grounds. Maria Montessori once said, “The child should live in an environment of beauty…” We strive to make that possible with your help.

  • We Are Ready

  • Meet Officer Popa our New SRO

Welcome to our school! Meet Officer Popa, he is our new SRO. Each day that our children are in school, this officer will be there to keep them safe, watch over the school, and be available to listen to their concerns. A full time West Melbourne Policeman, he has been in law enforcement for over 6 years. The students are getting to know him more each day. Officer Popa has a three year old daughter of his own and loves working with kids. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf. When you see him, introduce yourself and let him know how happy we are to have him as one of our team members.
