We love field trips!
With a lot of effort and coordination, all 48 students in grades 1 and 2, and many parents, went to the EFSC Planetarium for some hands on Science. We even got a visit from an alligator!
What a great experience!

Barnes & Noble Night
Our fundraiser and evening of literacy at Barnes & Nobel was a great success.

Students entertained us with plays, jokes, skits, quotes and poetry. Teachers and parents dressed in costumes from Dr. Seuss books and read from his books. We even had bi-lingual reading.

Guest Readers Participate in National Literacy Week
As part of National Literacy Week, classrooms invited guest readers from the community (and space) to share one of their favorite books.
2016 Theme “Literacy Changes Our World”
The goal of this year’s Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! is to promote literacy throughout the state by raising awareness in your community and with students. We are excited to partner with Florida’s First Lady Ann Scott on this important initiative for the sixth consecutive year. First Lady Scott will engage in fun and exciting reading experiences with select schools and classrooms across the state.

Educational Horizons Charter School to Celebrate National School Choice Week
During the week of January 24-30, 2016, Educational Horizons will participate in National School Choice Week 2016 with an Open House January 25 & 28 at 10:00am, as well as January 29th at 1:00pm.This is a great opportunity for interested parents to visit the school, meet our teachers, as well as observe students in the classroom working with Montessori materials. You will also have a chance to meet other interested parents, and complete the application form for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year. We hope you will join us!
National School Choice Week is a non-partisan, non-political effort that raises awareness about the importance of effective education options for students. More than 9,000 events are being planned across the country to celebrate National School Choice Week.

Montessori Evening of Demonstrations
Thank you to parents, students, families and staff for supporting our Montessori evening of demonstrations for our school community.
